A STYLISH VANITY MAKEOVER
This redo required working with fixed elements. The hand applied wall finish, faucet, limestone floor and granite countertop could not be repainted or removed. The only option was upcycling the Vanity with a fresh new look to complement the existing finishes, fittings and furnishings.
INSPIRATION & MATERIALS
A traditional hand-painted custom Armoire is the inspiration for the Vanity Makeover. To complement it’s design, we duplicated the colour & diamond shapped motifs painted inside the cabinet. Decorative fretwork panels from O’verlays were the perfect solution.
O’verlays has many designs and sizes to choose from. We opted to go with a custom size to ensure a perfect fit on the existing vanity doors and side. O’verlays provided a shop drawing and the measurements were confirmed.
Once approved, O’verlays manufactured the product and shipped them to Toronto. They were installed directly onto the doors and painted with a top coat of Farrow & Ball ‘Picture Gallery Red’
For a high impact and luxurious look, we chose a brass pull in a classic octagon shape from Addison Weeks – Modern Matters.
VANITY REDO IS COMPLETE
The clients were thrilled with their upcycled vanity. Fulfilling their wish to not disturb the adjoining areas was accomplished.
We accessorized the Powder Room with new accessories to complete the look!
