VINTAGE FINDS
My designs include all aspects of sustainability by repurposing and using quality materials that support health, wellness and style.
Timeless pieces reduce the demand for mass produced furniture. Using vintage adds individuality and personality. Mid-Century modern is highly collectible and I for one am eager to acquire a piece soon. This era is defined by sleek and functional teak furnishings with simple and elegant details. Lighting embraces interesting curves, ceramic and metal finishes. Some key characteristics of midcentury modern include:
- Furnishings emphasize function over ornament
- Lack of ornamentation in favor of simple geometric lines
- Frequent use of teak, rosewood, and oak
- Use of metal, glass, and vinyl
- Bold accent colors include reds, sages, yellows, blush pinks, and more.
- Organic shapes and patterns, as shown in midcentury modern architecture.
- Mixed materials and textures such as a wood tabletop with chrome legs or a vinyl upholstered chair with wood legs

WELLNESS SPACES
Our daily dose of self-care in a meaningful and serene space will calm your breath, heighten your awareness and improve your mental health. Here, I offer my design tips for creating the ultimate sanctuary for your meditation, relaxation and daily wellness practice.
- Keep it light and bright by using soft neutral colours and indirect lighting.
- A source of natural light with a pleasant view will draw you back each day.
- Comfort is key. A soft carpet underfoot during your meditation practice adds to a feeling of relaxation and calm.
- Incorporate wood in flooring or in accents for it’s expressive, grounding and natural properties.
- Select meaningful art and accessories to personalize your space. Textile art deepens the sensory experience with its tactile properties. A mirror is essential to keep your posture in check during yoga practice.
- Including living plants inside your sanctuary space revitalizes the air, humidity and lowers stress levels for better wellness.

COPPER COMEBACK
Copper takes on a beautiful lived-in finish that patinas overtime. Warm and sophisticated, copper combines wonderfully with pewter, stainless steel and stone surfaces.
Copper adds a touch of warmth and luxury to interior design, and can be used in various ways, from accent lighting and hardware to sinks and even wall cladding. In a Kitchen, a copper-clad range hood serves as the perfect statement piece.

TERRAZZO
Terrazzo is a composite material made of small chips of stone or glass set in cement. It is durable and lasts for decades. Although the history of terrazzo can be traced back to the ancient mosaics of Egypt, its more recent predecessors come from Italy.
Terrazzo can be used in both interior and exterior projects. It’s durability and dynamic design appeal make it a wonderful choice for restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs. For residential spaces, its large tile format for flooring and backsplashes complements a minimalist design with touch of elegance. Its diverse color palette adds a retro touch and offers a range of design possibilities. For warmer climates it helps keep the home cool. Terrazzo is a durable and sustainable choice, as it lasts for decades. It can be restored throughout its lifespan to regain its original luster.
